Reporting Absence
If your child is unable to attend school for any reason, please call the absence line on 07482617831. This will need to be done before 8:30am for each day that your child is sick.
For any hospital, doctors or dentist appointments that will result in absence from school, please email absence@friars.northants.sch.uk
Attendance
School starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.00pm, totalling 30 hours and 25 minutes per week.
We are confident that students at Friars Academy will enjoy school, the result being that we will have good attendance.
High levels of attendance supports students’ progress both in their academic work as well as their wider holistic learning, for example, students’ social skills, confidence and self-esteem.
Families are asked not to take holidays during term time as this can have a detrimental impact upon students’ development.
