Year 9 students visit a Sikh Gurdwara

In early July, Year 9 students and 4CC visited the Sikh Gurdwara in Northampton, to complete their unit of work on Sikhsim in Ethics. When they arrived, they were asked to cover their heads and wash their hands. They were then shown around the Gurdwara and some key features of the Sikh faith were explained to them in a presentation. They were very fortunate to then be offered a meal of chips and beans, as eating together is considered a key feature of Sikh worship. Students enjoyed finding out more about the faith and talking to some of its followers.
