Starting secondary school is a big step in your child’s life. They will go from being the oldest in the school to being the youngest. There will be some changes to cope with: having to find their way around a new school, different teachers for different subjects, new friends, and homework. All of this will fit into your child’s new routine, alongside their other interests and the slightly daunting prospect of growing up and becoming a teenager.
