Welcome To Friars Academy
Starting secondary school is a big step in your child’s life. They will go from being the oldest in the school to being the youngest. There will be some changes to cope with: finding their way around a new school, different teachers for different subjects, new friends, and homework. All of this will fit into your child’s new routine, alongside their other interests and the slightly daunting prospect of growing up and becoming a teenager.
It can take time for children to adjust to these new responsibilities. As a parent, this change can be a little scary for you too. However, we can assure you that both you and your child will be fully supported throughout, and will be able to adapt to this next stage.
